I am a well-established painter living&working in Lancaster, Pa. My artwork is a combination of landscape and still-life, in a luminous, dreamlike and sculpturally realistic style best described as "magic realism".

My studio is in the Keppel Building downtown, in a large open space with some great fellow artists. I always have new artwork in progress, a steady stream of ideas, and will post them here regularly. Please sign up and read to see images, news on juried/gallery shows, publications and other events as they happen.
In addition to my art, I have a deep love of natural history and spend a
lot of time fueling my art with inspiration from close observation
of living things, geology.
I am obsessed with early&classical music, which further fuels my art.
I play the Great Highland bagpipe,
Scottish smallpipes and the viola&violin.
Loving the new studio, along with John Weaver (standing, blue painting), Jeff Geib (banjo), Mike Witmer (standing, palette knife), Bob Ibold and Shawn Quinn.
